Samsung India has announced that it will kick-off deliveries of the pre-booked Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphones starting today. Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with a number of new features, including the promise of 100x Space Zoom — a feat that Samsung explains has been achieved using a combination of Hybrid Optic Zoom and Super-Resolution Zoom.
Apart from this, the Galaxy S20 Ultra also brings with itself a 108-megapixel lens and the most powerful selfie camera on a Galaxy phone yet — a 40-megapixel front camera. The Galaxy S20 Ultra also promises 8K video recording among other features.
In India, the Galaxy S20 Ultra is priced at Rs 92,999 and will be up for purchase across retail stores, Samsung.com and leading online portals starting today.
In terms of specs, the Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with some powerful internals. Being the latest flagship from Samsung, the Galaxy S20 Ultra also gets the fastest chipset available to the company right now. Depending on the region of purchase, the phone would either support a 5G enabled Snapdragon 865 or a 4G modem totting Exynos 990 chipset — in India, it’s the latter. The 4G variant in India gets 12GB of RAM The phone also gets up to 512GB of storage that can be further expanded using a MicroSD card.
Among the major highlights of the Galaxy S20 Ultra is its massive display. The Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with the biggest display on a Galaxy S series device to date, as it sports a massive display that’s 6.9-inches in size.
The display also supports a maximum resolution of 1440×3200 pixels and the Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED screen also boasts of a native 20:9 aspect ratio and a centered punch-hole.
