Who doesn’t love looking at glossy pictures of super-fast and super expensive sports cars? When it comes to actually owning one of these cars it’s probably for the majority of us only a fantasy. For the rich and famous though buying a supercar is like buying a new pair of shoes. How often do we see the likes of Christiano Ronaldo posing next to a Bugatti or Wayne Rooney smiling as he gets into his new Aventador. 9. Porsche 918 Spyder – £518,576

Porsche call this model the sports car of the future, the hybrid efficient car can reach top speeds of 214mph and is a fantastic successor to the classic Carrera GT. U.S talk show host Jay Leno counts the Porsche 918 among one of his many supercars.

8. McLaren P1 – £675,000

This limited edition plug in hybrid supercar boasts a top speed of 217mph, and goes from 0-62mph in a minuscule 2.8 seconds! Again jay Leno has one of these in what must be a humongous garage.

7. Hennessey Venom GT – £736,440

Only 29 of these stunning cars were ever made, so chances are you won’t be able to pick one up at your local dealership! The Venom can reach a whopping 270mph, making it one of the fastest cars ever made! Rock legend Steve Tyler of Aerosmith is one of the lucky owners of this stunning supercar.

6. La Ferrari £1million

Ferrari made this car to show rivals Porsche and McLaren that they too can play the game of being the world’s best hybrid sports car. The La Ferrari has a 6.3-litre V12 engine that produces 950bhp, it can reach 0-62mph in under 3 seconds and has a top speed of 227mph! As beautiful as this car is, it is also one of the most expensive at a cost of just over £1 million. 5. Koenigsegg One – £1.6 million

Surprisingly there were only 6 of these cars ever built – all of which have now sold, and it’s no wonder with top speeds of 273mph, and a monstrous 1340bhp. Rumours are that Real Madrid striker Christiano Ronaldo has one of these although he has yet to be snapped driving it.

4. Aston Martin One – £1.1 million

This car was so popular that even James Bond missed out on one! as only 77 of these striking cars were ever made. The One comes with a 7.3-litre V12 engine which has 757bhp.

3. Bugatti Veyron – £2 million

When it comes to dream cars Bugatti have to be near the top of any list, the Veyron is an outstanding piece of engineering, it has an engine around car design giving it 1200bhp, and has a top speed of 254mph. Celebrity owners include Mr nasty himself Simon Cowell, and Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo. Sadly Bugatti announced this year they would no longer be making the Veyron, but its predecessor is sure to be something very special.

2. Lykan Hypersport £3million

Recently seen flying from one building to another in Fast & Furious 7, this spectacularly unusual supercar comes in at a whopping £3 million. The Lykan is the first car to be made by W Motors who was established in Lebanon. The Lykan is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat six engine that produces 770hp. The top speed for this Arabian supercar which has diamonds in the headlights is rumoured to be 245mph, and it can reach 0-62mph in less than 2.7 seconds. W Motors only made 7 of these cars so as yet there are no known famous owners.

1. Lamborghini Veneo Roadster £3.3 million

Officially named as the world’s most expensive car the Lamborghini Veneo Roadster will cost you just over £3.3 million. Based on the iconic Aventador only a lot more expensive this supercar which has no roof, has a top speed of 221mph, and can do 0-6mph in 2.8 seconds. Only 9 of these spectacular cars have been made with the owners being kept a close guarded secret (for now).
